Weddings
Weddings are a wonderful celebration of love and commitment, with the prospect of a lifetime of living and working together to create a beautiful relationship, a loving home, and quite possibly a family. I can assist you in creating a lovely ceremony, the wedding of your dreams, to begin that journey! Even those far away can be present with modern communications media. I recently attended my granddaughter’s wedding in England, via WhatsApp, from Perth !
I can assist with simple weddings and small groups, and with more elaborate weddings and larger groups and venues. I can guide and support you in sorting out the legal paperwork. I have a small audio system available for use should you need it.
We all know how expensive that special day can be, but I will assist you to create a wonderful ceremony within your budget. If you find yourself struggling with costs, I am happy to work with you on a payment plan for my services.
As a bonus, I can also make wedding and bridesmaid dress alterations (many years of experience here!), with allowance of enough time prior to the ceremony. Cost will depend on the extent of alterations required.
Renewal of vows
Years of life and love together often result in a wish to celebrate those years, and a wish to renew the lifetime commitment amongst family and friends. I can assist you with creating a lovely ceremony to celebrate all those years together, including the presentation of a decorative certificate, which can be framed.
I can help with simple ceremonies and small groups, or with more elaborate ceremonies and larger groups and venues. I have a small audio system which is available if required.
Baby naming ceremonies
It is so wonderful to celebrate the birth and the naming of a new child with family and friends. Even those far away can still be present with modern communications technology!! I have seen the joy a newborn can bring, many times in my life, and would be honoured to assist you in celebrating a new life and the possibility of a wonderful future.
I can certainly help you in creating a ceremony for family and friends, which suits your wants and needs, with support available through all aspects of the ceremony.
Funerals
The passing of a loved one is of course a difficult time in our lives, but we can still celebrate the life that was, whether it had been a long one or a short one. Recalling the life that was, with family, friends, and colleagues, always helps to create a sense of closure, and to ease that feeling of loss. I can assist you to create a service which helps, focusing on happy times and good memories.
As a former career nurse, I have experienced the family sadness of a loved one’s passing, many times, and I can provide genuine empathetic emotional and physical support through planning and conducting a service to farewell a dear loved one.
I can provide guidance with preparation of a eulogy if required, and can also provide a list of services that you may contact for extra advice and support at such a difficult time.
About Me
Hello,
I’m Nancy Brook, a mature aged, young at heart, Civil Celebrant, providing services in and around Perth, Western Australia.
My goal is to assist you in planning and carrying through any of those ceremonies which celebrate important stages in life, whether it be rejoicing in a marriage, naming of a newborn, renewing vows to celebrate enduring love, or to farewell a dear loved one. In assisting you, I am also very conscious of expenditure, and will work closely with you to achieve a beautiful ceremony within your budget.
I worked as a nurse for many years and after retirement decided to become a Celebrant, so that I could continue to help people. My family believes, and I believe too, that it is in my DNA to help others.

Prices
The ranges below are dependent on your requirements, covering relatively simple through to more elaborate ceremonies. The latter would normally require more planning and organisation time:

| Renewal of Vows | $350 – $450 |
| Baby Naming Ceremony | $200 – $300 |
| Funerals | $350- $450 |
| Other ceremonies | $200 minimum, but dependent on requirements and nature of the ceremony. |
A deposit of 20% of total fees is required.
The above fees do not allow for travel costs which form part of the service provided, including travel for meetings and organisational purposes as well as the actual ceremony. A log of relevant travel will be kept and charged at cost, at a rate of 20c/km.
